Revolutionizing Type 1 Diabetes Care with User-Centric Design

Experience the first Automated Insulin Delivery (AID) system built on an algorithm created by and for people with diabetes. By being built on the Loop foundation, twiist Loop offers your patients a truly adaptive and intelligent AID system, marking a new era in personalized diabetes care.

Predictive Power

The twiist AID system calculates a glucose forecast using active insulin data, active carbohydrate data, the last 30 minutes of CGM readings and therapy settings.

Dynamic Adjustments

Basal Delivery
Automatically fine-tunes insulin delivery every 5 minutes to meet user-specified correction target.

Bolus Recommendations

Utilizes the six-hour glucose forecast and the user-specified correction target to calculate precise bolus amounts for carbohydrate and glucose corrections.

Continuous Optimization

The algorithm recalculates its six-hour forecast every five minutes, integrating the latest insulin dosing, carbohydrate, and continuous glucose monitor data to automatically adjust basal insulin delivery according to personalized settings.

Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about iiSure™ sound wave technology and the twiist™ AID System.

Can patients bolus from the pump itself?

Yes, patients can use the Bolus button to bolus directly from the pump itself, even when they are not close to their phone.

What is the correction/target range?

The Correction Range can be set as low as 87 mg/dL (4.8 mmol/L) and as high as 180 mg/dL (10 mmol/L). It can be set to different values at different times of the day.

How many units of insulin does the twiist Pump hold?

The twiist Pump can hold up to 300 units of insulin.

How do users see reports from their pump data?

We are pleased to share that we have partnered with Tidepool. twiist™ users and their healthcare providers have access to their reports in the Tidepool Data Management System.

Does the twiist AID System algorithm learn with time?

The twiist™ AID System uses the twiist Loop algorithm which uses a 6-hour prediction based on personal settings, current glucose value, how much insulin is on board, the past 30 minutes of blood glucose changes, and carbohydrate information to adjust every 5 minutes to help keep your patients in Target Range. It does not learn with time and only adapts based on the parameters described above.
